The Gingersnap Dress and Tunic is a loose fitting design based on a kimono shaped silhouette. It features 3/4 length sleeves, a square neckline and a single button and loop closure in the back. The clean lines of this design make it easy for you to add your own touch by adding appliqué, lace, pockets, embroidery, decorative trims or ruffles. It is perfect for that time of year when your young one needs just a little bit of sleeve.  The roomy fit of this design is not only comfortable to wear, but also allows your child plenty of space to grow.

The pattern’s clear step by step instructions ensure that it can be easily sewn up in one afternoon.

It is designed with the adventurous beginner in mind.

The skills you will need in order to complete this garment are as follows:

Sewing curves

Clipping curves and corners

Pivoting corners

All measurements are given in both imperial and metric and the pattern can be printed on either US Letter or A4 paper.  The PDF is a total of 30 pages.  The first 14 of those are instructions and the last 16 are the pattern tiles themselves.  You will need to print out all 16 pattern tiles.  The tiles contain full sized templates for the pieces that you will need to cut out for the garment.
